Advertising Map

Our team investigated some subtle advertisements on the Yavapai College campus. We determined to analyze the U.S. Army Kiosk in the cafeteria lobby.

There was a stand that held several different brochures, each with photos of young military people on the front. Each person seemed to project a certain bold, confident, decisive, joy. The colors of the stand were very dark, almost black. Strength was projected. The location of the kiosk was of prime importance, in a cafeteria lobby at a community college. This was a high-traffic area where young people pass by. Perhaps many of whom are still deciding what they want to do with their lives. They might be an easier target, if you will, of an ad campaign seeking to recruit many young soldiers.
